Albert William Castine, 65, died surrounded by his family February 12, 2019 at his home in Epping, NH after a courageous battle with muscular dystrophy. He was born July 7, 1953 in Amesbury, MA, son of Joann (Hart) Castine and the late Albert Joseph Castine.
Albert was brought up in Merrimac, MA and on the family farm in Georgetown, MA. He worked in construction for most of his life as a carpenter. He was formerly employed by Sid's Wood Shop, Donald Briere, and Advanced Custom Cabinets. He also did some factory and machine shop work. Albert was married twice. His first marriage for 17 years was to Susan Mitchell and they had four children together. Albert's second marriage for 23 years was to Heather Byrne and they had one daughter together. Albert's favorite hobby was going snowmobiling and he also belonged to several local NH snowmobile clubs. He had resided the past 40 years in Epping, NH.
He was predeceased by a son, John Castine who died October 1, 2018, a sister, Kathy Pepin and a brother, Richard Castine.
Albert is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Lisa Castine, daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Jon Winchell, daughter, Melissa Castine, daughter, Danielle Castine, 8 grandchildren, Joshua, Noah, Cody, Lucas, Huntter, Austin, Ayden, Lexus, his mother, Joann Castine, a brother, Timothy Castine, and several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, 200 Pleasant St., Epping, NH.
