Chester Raymond Robbins, 60, died December 26, 2018 in Portsmouth, NH after a period of declining health. He was born October 12, 1958 in Methuen, MA, son of Chester Robbins and Mary (Boisselle) Robbins.
Chet grew up and lived the majority of his life in Raymond, NH. He graduated from Raymond High School, Class of 1977. While in high school, Chet enjoyed being a member of the band and played both the saxophone and clarinet. He enlisted into the United States Army and served honorably for 23 years in the 82nd Airbourne. He spent some time serving in Kenya. After the service, Chet also worked as a heavy equipment operator.
Anyone that knew Chet appreciated having conversations with him as Chet was known to be a"talker". He loved more than anything his "family time". His hobbies included fishing, hunting, working on cars, and maple sugaring. Chet was a collector of fishing reels and old outboard motors. He had resided in East Wakefield, NH for the last several years.
In addition to his parents, Chet is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Stanley Robbins and JoAnn Finegan, 3 children, Nicole Robbins, Joshua Robbins and Kylie Robbins, 4 grandchildren, Hannah, Haylie, Anthony and Sydney, the mother of his children, Yasmin Robbins, a nephew, Eric Monkewicz, a niece and her husband, Shannon Monkewicz-Dancewicz and Travis Dancewicz.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 1:00-4:00 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond, NH.
A flag presentation will be held during the visitation at 3:00 PM
