Dolores M. Smith, 78, longtime resident of Candia, NH, passed away on October 29, 2018, at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH. She was born in East Boston, MA, on June 8, 1940, daughter of the late Dante and Rosina (Ventresca) D'Eramo.
Dolores grew up in East Boston and attended the local schools. As a young woman, she and her family moved to Billerica, MA where she began working as a teller at Middlesex Bank & Trust. After 18 years she transferred her banking career to Derry Bank & Trust in Derry, NH and eventually took on the manager position at Derry Bank & Trust's Candia branch. For the last 20 years, Dolores has worked as an auctioneer manager for Withington Auctions in Hillsboro, NH where she specialized in handling their doll collection consignments.
Dolores enjoyed practicing her lifelong skill as a seamstress. When she was younger she was known to make many of her own clothes and she continued this passion by creating the correct outfits for her dolls that she began collecting several years ago.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Gene D'Eramo of Boston, MA. Dolores is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Lonnie S. Smith of Candia, NH and her nephew, Dean.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Brewitt Funeral Home, 2 Epping St., Raymond, NH is assisting with the arrangements.
