Gail Lorraine Foley, 77, died August 2, 2018 at her home in Exeter, NH.

She was born September 8, 1940 in Lowell, MA., daughter of the late Melvin Chute and Helen (Hodgdon) Chute.

Gail grew up in Lowell, MA., one of two children in the family. She was married to Paul F. Foley for 55 years before his death in 2017. Gail's working career was always in sales. Initially, she worked for Bon Marche Department Store in Lowell, and later she became "The Avon Lady" in the Exeter area for many years.

Gail was an avid craft maker, needlepoint knitter and shopper. She enjoyed cooking and taking rides in the fall to the white mountains to enjoy the foliage. She also loved taking care of her many flowers around her home. Gail was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be sadly missed.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Donna Foley and sister, Dolores Oliver.

She is survived by 3 sons, Stephen Foley and his wife Debra of Kingston, NH, Scott Foley and his wife Heather of Kingston, NH, Gary Foley and his wife Jennifer of Dover, NH; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, NH.

The memorial service will follow on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 12:00 PM at the funeral home.

Private burial will be in the Westlawn I cemetery, Lowell, MA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Rockingham VNA & Hospice, 137 Epping Rd., Exeter, NH 03833.
