George H. Bragg, Jr., 75, died December 29, 2017 after a lengthy period of ill health.
George was born June 13, 1942 in Exeter, son of the late George H. Bragg and Lillian Hope (Clough) Bragg.
He graduated from St. Michael’s elementary school in 1956 and Exeter High School in 1960. He also attended New Hampshire College. He was employed at Phillips Exeter Academy in the facilities department for over 30 years, retiring in 2007.
Predeceased in 2010 by his wife of 45 years, Elizabeth “Betty” E. (Shanahan) Bragg, he is survived by two sons: George III and his wife Mi Ae of Hampton; Paul J. Bragg and his wife Barbara of Denver, CO; grandchildren Isaac and Caroline Bragg of Hampton, NH and Amber and Brandon Hildebrand of Denver, CO; one brother; William “Bud” Bragg and his wife Peggy of Newfields, NH; many brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
George loved his family, his home, aimlessly wandering on his Honda Helix, and watching television. He helped people see the humor in life by seeing it in himself.
Calling hours will be at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, NH on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Michael Church, 9 Lincoln St., Exeter, NH. Burial will follow in the Exeter Cemetery.
