Jean Gallt Fisher, 73, of Kingston, NH passed away peacefully in her home on June 6, 2018 after a 5-yr battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Geneva, OH on February 24, 1945, the daughter of William T. and Dorothy (Bush) Gallt. Jean attended Marietta College where she received her BS in Biology. She was active in student government, a Resident Assistant and a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority. Later, she earned a degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Pennsylvania. Jean is listed in Who's Who in American College and Universities.
Jean was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and loyal friend who dedicated her life to serving others. A woman of encouraging and ethical character, Jean was involved in church and community organizations. She loved working in her flower gardens, being a homemaker, and was a great cook. Jean had a strong faith believing God had plans for her and for the lives of others.
As an OT she worked at the Bedford VA Hospital. For the last 33 years she worked with the Center for Life Management in Derry, NH, where she dedicated herself to developing treatment plans, case management, supportive therapy, community outreach programs, crisis intervention and advocating for adults suffering with severe mental illness.
Married just shy of 50 years, Jean leaves behind her husband, George Fisher, her sister, Carol Shaw of Hampshire, IL, her son, Jeffrey and his wife Rachel of Strongsville, OH, her son Christopher and his wife Shawna of Hilton Head, SC, and 7 grandchildren, Alexandra, Addison, Jude, Rylan, Britton, Liam, and Grayson.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on June 25, 2018 at 1:00pm at Bethany Church, 500 Breakfast Hill Rd, Greenland, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kelley Latta Ministries at KelleyLattaMinistries.org.
