Judith Ann (Head) MacLeod, of Epping, NH died at home surrounded by family on February 27, 2018. She was 80 years old.
Judy is survived by her husband of 41 years, William MacLeod; her children Skip Hamblen (Nora), Lynn Wheeler, Jeff Gallant (Deb), Chuck Gallant (Taunya), Jen Leclerc (Mark), Steph MacInnis (Jay) and Chris LeBlanc (David). She was Nana and Gram to 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Judy was stepmother to five children, Bill, Gail, Deb, Paula and David. She also leaves behind two brothers, Jerry Head (Sally), Norman Head and two sisters, Linda Knapp (Bruce) and Nancy Kiman (Matt); an aunt, Lolo Head, and an uncle Cecil Head. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Judy was predeceased by her parents, Lester Head and Helen Barnes, along with her brother Ron Barnes. Along with her family, and many good friends she leaves behind her beloved cats Molly and Tom.
Judy lived in many places throughout her life, but considered Epping her home. In addition to being a wife and mother, Judy had many passions including sewing quilts, genealogy, gardening, and collecting pins, paperweights and paintings. Judy enjoyed traveling to many places including Scotland, across country twice and to the World's Longest Yard Sale.
She was a quiet and private person but when around her family she would come to life and enjoyed spending time laughing and talking.
There will be a two hour visitation at Brewitt's Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, NH, Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. There will be a private burial in Prospect Cemetery in Epping, NH at a later date.
