Fremont, NH - Margaret “Peggy” T. Demos, 76, died November 27, 2017 at the High Pointe Hospice facility in Haverhill, MA. She was born July 25, 1941 in Cambridge, MA, daughter of the late John Newman and Helen (Collins) D’Antilio.
Peggy grew up in Cambridge, MA and was raised in a catholic family. She married Charles “Charlie” A Demos and they spent 51 years together. They moved to Fremont, NH in 1971 to raise their family. Peggy was a devoted stay at home mother who also foster cared many children through the years. She was very active with Beverly School for the Deaf and the Ritchie McFarland Children’s Center. She was also a member of the Kingston Veteran’s Club Auxiliary.
Peggy had many hobbies and interests which included going fishing, being a wonderful cook, an avid reader, a fiercely competitive scrabble player. For as much as she was always trying to help someone, she liked to challenge people and would get into many debates with others. She will be sadly missed.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Charlie, who died October 16, 2001.
Peggy is survived by her children and spouses, Annette and John Magnusson of Kingston, NH, William and Deb Cadiero of Brentwood, NH, Kimberley and Jed Rowley of Simpsonville, SC, Julie Fahey of Dover, NH, Stephanie Demos of Fremont, NH, Edward Demos of Fremont, NH, step-son Ernest and Lisa Demos of Litchfield, NH and their 3 children, Pamela Demos of Seabrook, NH and her 3 children, beloved grandchildren, Kathryn, Joshua, Samuel, Rebekah, Erin and great grandchild, Ryan, sisters, Mary Mallard of Somerdale, NJ, Joan Collins of Derry, NH, 13 cherished nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 2:30-5:30 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 9 Pleasant St., Epping, NH.
The funeral service will follow on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 5:30 PM at the funeral home.
