Marjorie R. Burnett, 91, of Danville, NH passed away on July 21, 2019, at her home. She was born on April 23, 1928, in Plaistow, NH, daughter of the late Harry F. and Jessie (Williams) Robinson.
One of sixteen children, Marjorie grew up in Plaistow and graduated from Sanborn Seminary in Kingston. She had worked at Western Electric for 12 years before marrying John A. Burnett Jr. and taking on the busy role of homemaker. Marjorie was a member of the Danville Baptist Church, a former member of the Fire Belles, the Ladies Auxiliary of Danville Fire Dept., a member of the Eastern Star, and was a 73-year member of Grange, including several local Granges: Danville, Liberty, Wingold, Gilman and Rockingham. She was also active in the Junior Grange and the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.
Marjorie was predeceased by all of her siblings and is survived by her husband, John A. Burnett Jr.; her daughter Mary E. Burnett; her son, John A. Burnett III and his wife Kathy; and four grandchildren.
At her request, there are no services. Burial will be in Center Cemetery in Danville and will be held at the convenience of the family. Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, NH is assisting the family with the arrangements.
