Patricia Ann Spina, 82, passed away peacfully on September 5, 2019 at her home in Nottingham, NH after a lengthy battle with cancer.

She was born March 15, 1937 in Newburyport, MA, daughter of the late Patrick Murphy and Julia (Powers) Murphy.

Patricia grew up in Newburyport, MA and was the only child in her family. She attended Immaculate Conception School and later graduated from Newburyport High School. She earned an associate degree from Northern Essex College. After serving in the U.S. Navy, Patricia enjoyed her career as an engineer for Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent Technologies in N. Andover, MA. She retired with 47 years of service, only to return as a contractor for several additional years. She was a longtime resident of Newburyport before moving to Nottingham, NH.

Patricia loved riding her motorcycle, attending NASCAR races and spending time with her close friends and family. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and extremely fond of animals.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Catherine Chapman; her daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Gregory Clark; her grandson, Zachary Stevens; and her grandcat, Dusty.

She was predeceased by her beloved Siamese cat, Tabitha as well as other pets that brought her happiness throughout the years.

Per Patricia’s wishes request, there will be no funeral services scheduled. Instead she asked that friends do something that brings them joy and know that she is there sharing the experience with you.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the NH SPCA, PO Box 196, Stratham, NH 03885 or to the Seacoast Repertory Theatre, 125 Bow St., Portsmouth, NH 03801.
