Paul James McGinley, Jr., of Hamilton, NJ passed away September 30, 2018, at Harmony Homes By the Bay, Durham, NH.
Born in Easton, PA on October 5, 1930. He spent his youth in Easton and graduated from Wilson High School in Easton in 1947. He earned a BA degree from Villanova University in 1951. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany for two years with the Engineers Division. He later went on to earn a MBA from Seton Hall University.
Paul was a longtime resident of Hamilton. His working career began in Woodridge, NJ where he worked as a Contract Administrator for Wright Aeronautical Division for four years. He was then employed by RCA Labs in Princeton, NJ for almost 30 years in Purchasing and Marketing. He was fully retired in 1996, after working for the US Coast Guard for five years on Governor's Island, NY. He also taught Purchasing and Management Materials classes at Rider University for ten years.
He was a longtime member of the Parish of Our Lady Sorrows Church, Hamilton and St. Matthews Church, E. Stroudsburg, PA.
What he enjoyed most was spending time with his family and friends at his second home. For 18 years the family enjoyed holidays, weekends and summers on Shawnee-on-the-Delaware, PA. Paul was an active participant in bowling, baseball, but enjoyed playing golf the most.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, Ruth and Paul, Sr., his sisters, Ruth McGinley and Joan (Haddon) McGinley.
He is survived by his wife Barbara of 59 years of marriage and three daughters, Barbara (Cook) McGinley, Kathleen (Kenahan) McGinley, Colleen (Butler) McGinley, his grandsons, Paul Cook, Christopher Cook, Matthew Cook, David Cook, Sean Kenahan, Kian Kenahan, Trevor Kenahan, Kevin Butler and granddaughter, Heather Butler and step-granddaughter Kaitlin Butler.
A viewing hour will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 3:00-4:00 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, NH.
A service will follow on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
