Sgt. Scott Edward McGovern, 46, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. Scott was born on August 25, 1972, in Lawrence MA, the son of Martin and Barbara McGovern.

After graduating from Raymond High School he joined the US Army. Scott proudly served his country during the Gulf War and the Iraq War. He was a lifelong Service Man until the time of his death. Scott enjoyed fishing and riding his Harley. He also loved to spend time around the campfire and playing games with his family. Scott was an avid Boston Bruins and New England Patriots fan.

Scott will be dearly missed by his children, Jacob McGovern of Hudson, NH, Corey McGovern of Hudson, NH and Private Mason McGovern of the US Army in Fort Benning, GA. He is also survived by his sisters, Michelle Forsythe and husband Ronnie of Deerfield, NH, Monica McGovern and her boyfriend Dale of Raymond, NH; his brother, Shawn McGovern and wife Liz of Raymond, NH; his Stepmother, Shirley McGovern of Poinciana, FL and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Scott will also be missed by Joanne Conlin and many other wonderful friends.

The visitation for Scott will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019, from 4 to 6 PM at the Brewitt Funeral home, 9 Pleasant St., Epping, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019, at 10:00 AM, at St. Joseph Church, 200 Pleasant St, Epping, NH. Private burial with military honors will be held at the convenience of the family.
