Theodore J. Herbut "Ted", 95, died December 16, 2017 at his home in Candia, NH. Born July 10, 1922 in Manchester, NH, to Klemens and Victoria (Papciak) Herbut.
Ted was raised in Manchester and Londonderry. He graduated Pinkerton Academy in 1940. He married Gladys Miller in 1948 and lived in Manchester until they moved to Candia in 1979. Ted worked for Duracrete Block Co, and General Electric in Hooksett where he retired from. He loved people, kids and animals. Ted always had a smile and a story to tell. He loved having a vegetable garden and bragged about his tomato plants and how many he grew.
He received the Boston Post Cane in 2016 from Candia.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his three sisters, Laura Alexander, Cecile Dick and Helen Jankowski.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Gladys Herbut, sister-in-law, Bertha Shepard, brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Joanne Miller, god children, Ted Girard and Vicki Goren and several generations of nieces and nephews.
Will be laid to rest with a graveside service in Holbrook Cemetery, Candia, NH on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 11:00 AM. All friends and relatives welcome.
Luncheon to follow at Masonic Hall, Candia, NH to gather and share memories.
