William "Bill" Michael Patrick, 82, of Fremont, NH, found eternal peace on 8/29/18 surrounded by his family and comforted by the soft tones of the beautiful music he loved. His life and his tremendous capacity for love will be fondly remembered and cherished. He was born and raised in Lawrence, Massachusetts and moved his family to Stratham, New Hampshire in 1973.
Bill served our country in the Army, and he was a lifelong learner, earning his Associate's and Bachelor's degrees in Engineering while helping to raise his five children and working full time to provide for his family. Bill worked for many years as an engineer at Western Electric in Andover, Massachusetts. He had a strong work ethic and an exuberant passion for excellence that he passed on to his children.
When he retired, he did so to enjoy life and love, to pursue travel, and to spend time with his family and home projects. Bill was especially proud of his lawn and yard, and he worked diligently to maintain it. He loved animals and had many beloved pets over the years. He loved camping lakeside in Harrison, Maine, and he was a very particular "campfire master". Bill was a studied golfer, and a passionate Red Sox and Patriots fan. He was a violinist, and a lover of all types of music. He especially loved Frank Sinatra, Itzhak Perlman, Barbra Streisand, and Linda Eder. His number one leisure pursuit in the prime of his life was fishing on Lake Winnipesaukee with his sons on his boat, the "Dorothy Mae".
Bill was predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Dorothy Patrick in 1999.
Bill leaves his current wife of 14 years, Meredith of Fremont; his beloved sister, Diana Solmaz of Denver, North Carolina, a cousin, Marilyn Lanen of Andover MA, his eldest son, Michael Patrick and his wife Deborah of Georgia, daughter Lynda Goldthwaite and her husband Bill of Salisbury, NH, son Alan Patrick, and his wife Shirley of Florida, daughter Melissa Jamison and her husband Nick, of Hooksett, daughter Andrea Patrick-Baudet, and her husband Pierre of Newmarket, Greg Mason of Plaistow, NH and Hailey Mason Barnes of Sudbury, MA.
