Dolores M. Wyman "Dolly", 87, died January 25, 2017 at the Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood, NH.
She was born November 28, 1929 in Teaneck, NJ, daughter of the late William A. and Hilda (Williams) Van Doren.
Dolly grew up in New Jersey and New York. She was a graduate of the Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden, NJ. In the 1950's, she married Benjamin A. Wyman. Dolly worked several different jobs in her life including a painter of photography, She retired as a receptionist with Sanders Associates, which is now known as BAE, a longtime ticket seller at the Deerfield Fair, She raised different breeds of parrots, and lastly was a simulcaster at Hollywood Greyhound Track. She was a longtime resident of Deerfield, NH since 1970 and she wintered in Hollywood, FL. for about 20 years.
Dolly's hobbies included, in her younger years she drove stockcar, ballroom dancing, rollerskating (an activity she enjoyed well into her 60's), she enjoyed watching boxing, her favorite boxer was Oscar De La Hoya and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was a member of the Deerfield American Legion Auxiliary and the Deerfield Fair Association.
Dolly was predeceased by her husband in 2008, her daughter, Virginia Hewson, and her son, Daniel McLean.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, son William and Patricia Wyman, son, Donald and Debora Wyman, daughter, Cynthia and Don McHugh, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, brother and his wife, Abrahm and Lillian Van Dover, 4 nieces and 1 nephew.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 1:00-4:00 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, Epping, NH.
Spring burial will be in Old Center Cemetery, Deerfield, NH.
