Ronald "Ron" William Alexander "Tanker", 56, died suddenly February 4, 2017 at his home in Exeter, NH.
He was born April 5, 1960 in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Rita and Van Alexander and the late Ronald and Colleen O'Brien.
Ron grew up in Somersworth, NH. He found his trade at a young age and excelled at it; he completed an apprenticeship in plumbing at Duffy's Mechanical and worked as a commercial plumber for many years. He was employed for 22 years with Denron in Manchester and later was self-employed. There wasn't a project that he couldn't handle and a thing that he couldn't fix.
Ron was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Somersworth.
He was an avid New England sports fan and always loved watching the Bruins, Celtics, Sox, and especially, the Pats. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson, enduro racing, listening to classic rock, playing pool and poker and spending time with his wife. Ron loved shepherd dogs and was always a dog owner.
Ron is survived by his wife, Jody Alexander, son, Heath O'Brien Alexander, daughter and son-in-law, Whitney Anne Gagnon and Justin Gagnon, two sisters, Darlene Daigle and Arlene Towne, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Ann Alexander and Van and Colleen Alexander, in-laws, Judy and Chip Lang, Edward and Wanda Archambeault, Judy and Walter Archambeault, Peter Archambeault, Ray and Sue Archambeault, Donald Archambeault and several cousins, nieces and nephews, and many good friends.
A celebration of life and a service will be held on Saturday February 18th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Somersworth, NH American Legion, 45 Washington St., Somersworth, NH. The service will begin at 2:00 PM.
