Frederick L. Church "Fred", 84, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2017 at the Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood, NH. He was born August 20, 1932 in Moretown, VT., son of the late Frederick L. Church and Beatrice (Huard) Fields.
Fred served in the United States Army from 1949-1952 and served overseas in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He was a welder and retired from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in 1993. Fred had resided in Epping, NH since 1978. He was an active parishioner of the Epping Bible Baptist Church.
Fred was a member of the Richard A. Mitchell, American Legion Post# 51 of Epping.
He had a love and passion for singing, playing harmonica, and bluegrass music.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years whom he married on November 17, 1956, Marguerite (Ottati) Church, 6 children, Fred Church Jr., Lorraine Haywood, Mary Cardosi, David Church, Ann Davenport, Stephen Church, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 9 Pleasant St., Epping, NH.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Epping Bible Baptist Church, 243 Pleasant St., Epping, NH.
Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery, Epping, NH.
