Cecile A. Robie, 79, died March 22, 2017 at her home in Kingston, NH after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 20, 1937 in Newmarket, NH, daughter of the late Wilfred and Eva (Forbes) Latour.
Cecile grew up in Newmarket, NH and was a graduate of Newmarket, High School, Class of 1954. In 1960, she married Loren Robie and they have made their home in Kingston ever since. Cecile was a loving wife, mother and grandmother for her family. From 1981-2014, she owned and operated from her home, Cecile's Beauty Shoppe.
Mrs. Robie was a longtime active member and deaconess of the First Congregational Church of Kingston. At the church, she enjoyed contributing in the kitchen and being a part of the coffee hour. Cecile was affiliated with the Girl Scouts for over 25 years as a Leader and Director at Camp Seawood in Portsmouth. She led a 4-H troop and had fun as a member of the Red Hatters. She loved making dinners for her family, making donuts with her grandchildren, playing bingo and fishing. Her favorite fishing spot was in the Androscoggin River and she enjoyed visiting the family camp in Milan, NH.
She is survived by her loving husband, Loren Robie of Kingston, daughter, LuAnn and Douglas Goddard of Exeter, daughter, Robbin and Mark Willoughby of Gonic, daughter, Cheryl and Jeff Rowell of Fremont, daughter, Deneen Robie and Donna Ide of Bow, son, Morton and Terri-Anne Robie of Kingston, grandchildren, Carl, Crystal, Jackson, Sophie, and Nicholas, great grandchildren, Chase, Jordan, Piper and Toryn, brother, Wilfred "Joe" and Lucille Latour Jr. of Exeter, sister, Joni and Richard Morrison of ME, step-brother, Butch and Betty Poliquin, in-laws, Carolyn Robie of Kingston, Nan Robie of Kingston, and Delores Latour of Texas, and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the First Congregational Church, Kingston.
Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Kingston.
