Allan Richard Rislove, 84, longtime Fremont, NH resident, died at his home on May 12, 2017. He was born in Rushford, MN, on March 1, 1933, son of the late Seth and Ella Louise (Rostvold) Rislove.
Allan grew up in Rushford and was a graduate of Rushford High School. At 18, he went to California and worked in an aircraft factory, then came back to the Midwest to work on an ore cargo ship on the Great Lakes. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Japan before volunteering to be transferred to the base in Korea. After his service, Allan was a captain for Eastern Airlines for 32 years. He went on to fly for Continental Airlines before his retirement. Allan also was the owner of 3 heavy equipment companies in the Fremont area for a number of years. He enjoyed recreational flying in his spare time and travelling around the country in his motorhome. He was also a member of the Experimental Aircraft Assoc. in Oshkosh, WI.
Allan was predeceased by 2 sons, Richard and Steven Rislove; his siblings, Elmer, Lynn, Joseph and Lyle Rislove and also Lena Isabelle Manley. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marjorie (Seekamp) Rislove of Fremont; 1 daughter, Beth Rislove of Fremont; 2 sons, Michael Rislove and wife Susan of Fremont, Roger Rislove and wife Darlene of Arizona; his grandchildren, Anne, Ellen and Brianna Rislove, Samantha White, Steven Rislove, Sarah Downing and Kristen Bouchard, 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation will be held on May 22, 2017 from 4 to 6 PM, at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, NH. Private burial will be at Village Cemetery in Fremont.
