Charles S. Dennehy, 87, died on October 1, 2017 at RiverWoods At Exeter. He leaves his wife of 19 years, Doris Pailes Dennehy; three sons, William J. Dennehy and his wife Rae of Eugene, OR, Charles S. Dennehy, Jr and his wife Deborah of Amesbury, MA, and Daniel P. Dennehy and his wife Judith of New Durham, NH; and a sister, Margaret J. Coyle and her husband James of Waterville, NY and a sister-in-law, Loretta Dennehy of Webster, MA. He also leaves six grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He will be sorely missed by all.

He was born in South Ozone Park, Long Island, NY and was the son of the late William J. Dennehy and Margaret Sterling Dennehy. He was raised in Jersey City, NJ, and lived in Rochester, New Durham, Newmarket, and Nashua, NH.

Mr. Dennehy worked for General Motors in management for 14 years and then for Davidson Rubber/Textron for 25 years. He was the Vice President of Manufacturing in Farmington, NH, ending his career as a Vice President of World Wide Manufacturing for the Davidson Instrument Panel Division of Textron.
He spent many years as a volunteer rescue responder and was involved in community and service organizations in the towns where he lived.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 11 AM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, NH. A Memorial Service will follow at 11 AM at the funeral home on Saturday.
