William "Bill" Joseph Murphy, Jr., 70, of Epping, NH died unexpectedly on October 1, 2017 at his home. He was born in Boston, MA on December 28, 1946, son of the late William Joseph Murphy, Sr. and Roberta (Kelly) Collins.
Bill grew up in Roxbury, MA and attended Boston Technical High School. He served two tours in the US Marines during the Vietnam War. Bill worked as a truck driver for most of his working life and had most recently driven for Shaws Supermarkets. He was a former member of the VFW in Weymouth, MA. Bill enjoyed frequenting local as well as distant diners and was a fan of the TV show "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. " He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
Bill was predeceased by his wife, Joyce Ann (DeAngelis) Murphy in 2013, and two sisters, Karen Cedrone and Roberta "Tammy" Cuigini. He is survived by three sons, Ryan Murphy and wife Stephanie of Derry, NH, Adam Murphy of Epping, NH; Wiliam J. Murphy of Milton, MA and one daughter, Amy Murphy of Hingham, MA. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Norah Murphy of Derry, NH; his siblings, Judy Nadeau of Brockton, MA, Larry Murphy of Whitman, MA, Nona Bechtold of Weymouth, MA, Leslie Pietrafitta of Middleborough, MA and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Visitation will be on Friday, October 6, 2017, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 9 Pleasant St., Epping, NH. A graveside service will be on Friday, October 6th at 1:00 PM at Prospect Cemetery, Pleasant St., Epping, NH.
