Raymond F. Culligan, 90, died on October 3, 2017 at his home. He was born in Haverhill, MA on August 12, 1927, son of the late Joseph H. and Augusta (Melanson) Culligan.
Raymond grew up in Haverhill and attended the St. Joseph School and the Charles W. Arnold Trade School to become an electrician. He joined the US Army and served during WWII. He married, Violet Collins in 1952 and they lived in Merrimac, MA before moving to Danville in 1959. Raymond worked for Louran Corp. and in the shoe industry for over 30 years. He enjoyed horses and horseback riding and also spent time hunting and fishing and archery.
Raymond was predeceased by his wife Violet Culligan his brother, George Culligan and his twin brother, Robert J. Culligan. He is survived by his sons, Joseph Culligan and wife Claire of Danville, Kurt Culligan and wife Susan of Brentwood, Kevin Culligan of Danville; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Memorial visitation will be on Friday, October 6, 2017, from 6 to 8 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, NH. A graveside service will be on Saturday, Oct. 7th at 1 PM at Center Cemetery, Main St., Danville, NH.
