Obituary

Janet M. (Perkins) Reagan, 75, formerly of East Kingston, NH died in Portsmouth after a brief illness. She was born December 14, 1941 in Amesbury, MA. She was the daughter of the late Mary F (Fairbanks) and Melvin J Perkins Sr. & wife of the late Robert R Reagan Sr.

Janet grew up in Amesbury and was a graduate of Amesbury High School. She worked for the United States Postal Service until her retirement then worked part time for Foss Motors of Exeter, NH. She was formerly of Newton Junction, NH and had resided for a short time in Exeter, NH
Janet was one of the first female volunteer firefighters in the state of New Hampshire as well as an EMT with the East Kingston Fire Department. For several years she and her late husband, Robert R Reagan, Sr traveled the country in their motorhome, spending several winters in Yuma, AZ. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, wood carving and making jewelry beading.

She is survived by her children: sons, Robert R Reagan Jr of Deerfield, NH, Mark H and Randy T Reagan of East Kingston, NH and daughter Mary F Reagan-Healey of Wildwood, FL as well as her brother Melvin J Perkins Jr of Freemont, NH. She leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with her parents and husband, Janet was pre-deceased by her brother William Minichiello and sisters Pamela McCarthy and Robin McIntyre.

Memorial visitation will be on Thursday, November 2, 2017, from 4 to 7 pm at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter NH. A memorial mass will be held on Friday at 10:00 am at St. Michael Church, 9 Lincoln St., Exeter, NH.
A gathering for friends and family will follow at 33 Sanborn Rd East Kinston.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the East Kingston Fire Association, PO Box 64 East Kinston NH 03827.
