Barbara Jean Camire, formerly Barbara Brisson, 82, died November 9, 2017 at her home in Epping, NH with her loving family by her side.
She was born May 31, 1935 in Portland, ME, daughter of the late Albion R. Pendergrace and Alice Jean (Swett) Pendergrace.
Barbara lived most of her life in Epping, NH. She attended Epping Central School and graduated from Watson Academy, Class of 1953. Initially, Barbara was employed as a waitress for Peter's Restaurant, later worked for the Epping School District in the lunch program, was the former postmaster for the Heading campground, worked for the Kingston Children's Center, and lastly worked many years as a postal worker in the Town of Epping. She also formerly resided in Newmarket, NH.
Barbara was active in the community as she was a longtime member of the Epping Community Church, was a founding member of the Watson Academy Senior Club, and was a former member of the Epping Grange.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her daughter, Holly Brisson Simpson and her sister, Bette Tylock.
She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, William "Bill" P. Camire of Epping, NH, sister, Janet Angus of Merrimack, NH, step-daughter, Erica P. Gruszewski of Charlestown, NH, 2 grandsons, Corey Gruszewski and Daniel Gruszewski Jr. of Ranshaw, PA, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Epping Community Church, Pleasant St., Epping, NH. Friends and family may visit with the family the hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 AM at the church.
Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery, Epping, NH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the charity of one's choice.
