Ruth Cail Magnusson, 93, died on December 15, 2017 at her daughter’s home in East Kingston, NH. She was born in Exeter, NH on August 18, 1924, the daughter of the late Murdock John Cail and Elsie (Eldredge) Cail.
A longtime resident of Kingston, she graduated from Robinson Female Seminary in 1943 and was the widow of Theodore S. Magnusson who died in 2004. She was also predeceased by 3 brothers, Gordon Cail, John “Sonny” Cail, and Robert Cail, and 2 sisters, Carleen DesRoches and Carolyn Humphrey.
Ruth enjoyed the luncheons with all her friends at the First Congregational Church of Kingston where she would donate her beautiful handmade quilts and crocheted afghans for raffles. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She always found the positive in everyday life. We will all miss her and love her dearly.
She is survived by three sons, Carl E. Magnusson of Brentwood, NH, Glenn A. Magnusson of Fremont, NH and John W. Magnusson of Kingston, NH; 2 daughters, Dianne Worrall of Brentwood, NH and Joy Given of East Kingston, NH; 13 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and her brother-in-law and sister-in -law Conrad and Phyllis Magnusson of Kingston, NH who she holds very dear to her heart.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the First Congregational Church of Kingston located on 6 Church St. in Kingston, NH. Burial will be held in the Greenwood Cemetery, Kingston, NH in the spring. Brewitt Funeral Service, 14 Pine St., Exeter, NH is handling the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to a charity of one’s choice.
