Barry M. Fritz, 70, died at his home in Candia on December 26, 2017. He was born and raised in Gray, PA on March 4, 1947, the son of the late Melvin and Emma (Patrick) Fritz. He was a graduate of Jenner-Boswell High School in Boswell, PA where he was captain of the wrestling team and the District 5 champion.
He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and attended Penn State University where he completed a program in the studies of operation and installation of fire sprinkler systems. He worked for 36 years for Sprinkler and Fitters Local Union 669 as a Journeyman/Forman before retiring in 2005. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion.
A resident of Candia for 20 years, he also formerly resided in Hudson, NH. He had a great sense of humor and was quite the practical joker. He was a league bowler at Strikers East in Raymond, NH and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He is survived by his wife Judith L. Fritz of NH; two daughters, Christine Curran and her husband Ed, and Katrina Scarito and her husband Dean of NH; his sister Nancy Meyers and her husband Gene of PA; his brother-in-law Bob Bush of PA; his sister-in-law Alice Fritz of PA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Lois Bush and brother Verle Fritz.
A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2017 at 2 PM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway Route 3 in Boscawen, NH. Brewitt Funeral Service, 9 Pleasant St., Epping, NH is handling the services.
