Elaine M. "Sally" Adams, 87, native and lifelong resident of Exeter, died on February 5, 2018 at the Exeter Hospital. She was born in Exeter on September 9, 1930, daughter of the late William J. and Katherine (Daley) Adams.
An Exeter High School graduate she also attended business school. Sally worked for a number of years for the IRS before working as an assistant with the US Dept. of Agriculture where she spent the rest of her career until her retirement. Sally was a communicant at St. Michael Church in Exeter. She enjoyed golf, dancing and traveling and she loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers, William, Melvin, Earl, Arnold, Donald and Robert Adams. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Bruce Adams, Sharon Lacey, Brian Adams, Donna Ghanbari, Dennis Adams, Kathleen Roach, Joel Adams, Diane LaPorte, Maureen Burl, Debbie Romano, Donna Young and Michael Adams; her sisters-in-law, Bev Adams, Pat Adams and Gail Shunk; and all of their families.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, from 9 - 11 AM, at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at 11 AM, at St. Michael Church, 9 Lincoln St. in Exeter. Burial will be in the Exeter Cemetery at a later date.
