Norman Todd Horning, 53, of Deerfield, NH died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on May 13, 2018. He was born in Haverhill, MA, on June 25, 1964, son of Leonard S. and Phyllis (Ashford) Horning.
Norman grew up in Newton, NH and was a Timberlane High School graduate in Plaistow. He worked for his dad at Lennie's Car Care initially and later for Randy's Gun shop before starting his career as a glass installer. He installed auto, residential and commercial glass for over 20 years and was presently employed by Glass America.
Norman and Laura had resided in Deerfield for the past 27 years in the same home they had built in 1991. When their girls were young, the family spent many summers on Kezar Lake in Maine. Norman had many interests and among them were his enjoyment in hunting, fishing, off roading, hot-rods and building motors. He also liked snowmobiling, wake boarding, water skiing, camping and craft beer tasting. Norman had a passion for riding motorcycles and was known to ride in different charity events together with family and friends. He was a member of the Deerfield Community Church, United Church of Christ in Deerfield.
Norman was predeceased by his mother, Phyllis and is survived by his wife, Laura (Isaksen) Horning; daughter, Kassandra Horning and her fiancee, Joshua Bessette, daughter, Monica Horning; his father, Leonard S. Horning and his partner Loretta A. Ball; his brother, Richard Horning and wife Belinda Horning; Brother in law Steven Paquin with his wife Lauraine (Isaken) Paquin and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 1:30 PM, at Old Center Cemetery in Deerfield, NH. A celebration of life will follow at the Deerfield Community Church, 15 Church St., Deerfield, NH.
