Gregory R. DeRoche, of Exeter, New Hampshire, passed away unexpectedly at home on 5/13/18. He was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts to Theodore and Lorraine DeRoche.
He worked as a welding teacher for 28 years at Whittier Vocational Technical High School. In his retirement he worked with special needs students in the Haverhill school district helping them to acquire life skills needed for entering the workforce post high school.
His family would like him to be remembered for his kind and generous nature. He was a loving father and Pepe, who derived great joy from spending time with is grandchildren and family. He was always able to see the good in people and never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, lover of animals and the outdoors. He loved the ocean and always had a heart rock in his pocket to offer to a family member in need of a smile.
Greg was predeceased by his mother Lorraine DeRoche and brother Teddy DeRoche.
He leaves behind his father Theodore A. DeRoche, his wife of 39 years, Gail E. DeRoche, daughter, Sarah A. DeRoche, son Andrew G. DeRoche and Ashley Demers, grandchildren Ella, Brayden and Austin, brother Daniel DeRoche, sisters Kathleen Desmarais, Patricia Paquette, Lori Woodsum, Terri Desilets and Michele Snyder and many more cherished family members.
A memorial service will be held Friday May 25th from 4-6pm at Brewitt Funeral Home in Exeter.
In lieu of flowers the family would ask donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in Greg's Honor.
