On Sunday, June 24, 2018 our beloved mother, nana, aunt, and friend Mary Francis (Mulherin) Czajkowski passed away in her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Scranton, PA on June 6, 1923 to Michael and Theresa Mulherin, the oldest of three girls. She was raised and attended schools in Portsmouth, NH.
In 1957, Mary married John (Ski) Czajkowski, a career Navy man, and the light and love of her life. Together they raised seven children in Exeter.
In her senior year of high school, Mary began working at the Portsmouth Telephone Company, where she was employed for over a decade. Mary loved being a telephone operator and through this employment met many of her lifelong girlfriends.
Mary will be remembered as one of the most kind and loving woman to have graced this earth. People were her true passion, and it showed in the outpouring of love she received by all who had the gift of knowing her. All were welcomed into her home and into her heart.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Ski, in 2011, her two sisters, Kathleen Corbly and Ann Rea, her two nephews, Robert Corbly and Mike Halliday, and many lifelong friends.
She will be deeply missed by her loving children, Rosann Lampkin and her husband, Tom, of Chico, CA, Wanda Wright and her husband, Tom, of So Portland, ME, Teresa Stokes and her husband, Ed, of Wrentham MA, John W. Czajkowski Jr. of Portland, ME, Joan Hart and her husband, Bruce, of Durham, CA, Joseph Czajkowski and his wife, Jennifer, of Lansdale, PA, and Jayne Conley and her husband, Tom, of So Portland, ME; adoring grandchildren: Malia Lampkin, Natalie, Jeffrey (wife Christa Borgman), and Laura (fiance Sean Corr) Stokes, Mikayla Czajkowski, Elena (husband Brent Rhodes), Madalyn and John Hart, Mackenzie, Jack, and Camryn Czajkowski, and Matthew and Mary Conley; and one dear great grandchild, Olivia Rhodes. She also leaves behind sister-in-law, Carol Czajkowski, brother-in-law, Jim Rea, several loving nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
To celebrate and honor Mary's life, there will be a wake at Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter on Thursday, June 28, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 29, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Church, 9 Lincoln St., Exeter.
Burial Will be in the Exeter Cemetery.
