Alexander Reginald Vasselian "Al", 77, died suddenly July 3, 2018 at the Williamsburg Regional Medical Center.
He was born September 11, 1940 in Boston, MA, son of the late John and Louise (Pender) Vasselian.
Al grew up in Boston and was a graduate of Boston Trade High School, Class of 1958. Al's passion in life was sports. He was an avid follower of all 4 New England sports teams, and he was especially fond of the Boston Red Sox. For years, he coached baseball in Epping which he always felt great pride in doing all his life. Al belonged to various local organizations throughout his life. His working career was in the construction field as a carpenter. He and his brother, William built many homes locally in New Hampshire and Virginia. He also was a member of the Epping Police department in the 1960's and 70's, additionally Al was a police officer on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel in Southern Virginia. In his retirement years, he also worked as a store clerk.
He was pre-deceased by his brother, Robert Vasselian and his sister-in-law, Jeanne Vasselian, and a nephew, Mark.
Al is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, William and Brenda Vasselian and their children Kathy, William Jr., Debbie, Johnny, sister and brother-in-law, Joanne Vasselian Shelton and Bill Shelton and their son and his wife, Mike and Kristina, nieces, Anne Marie and Charlene and further generations of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A calling hour will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, Epping, NH.
Funeral services will also be on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery, Epping, NH.
Flowers are acceptable or donations may be made in Al's honor to any youth athletic association of your choice.
