Corey A. Gagnon, 38, of Dover passed away unexpectedly in the morning hours of Tuesday, September 4th 2018.
Corey was born June 6th, 1980 in Exeter, NH, and spent most of his younger life in Brentwood. He grew up with a passion for all things mechanical, always taking apart and "fixing" anything he could get his hands on. He had an extremely close bond with his paternal grandfather, Arthur "Archie" Gagnon, who sadly passed away when Corey was 12. Corey went on to work in construction/excavation, and was said to be skilled in any machine you put him in. He honed his skills working for years with Rome Construction, and gained a strong bond with owner Mike Rislove, and two coworkers Cecil "Red" Gibney and Dick LeClair. They were his "second family", and although predeceased by Red, his presence will be sorely missed.
Corey is lovingly remembered by his parents, Ingrid Martel of Wisconsin and Gary Gagnon of Brentwood; his sisters Amy Gagnon of Wisconsin and Steph Catalli of Sandown, as well as his niece Brooke Catalli; his children, Evelyn (14) and his twin boys Frank and Liam (6), as well as his paternal uncle and cousins. He leaves behind his fiance, Meaghan; Evelyn's mother Susan, as well as innumerable friends, both old and new. Corey was a bright light with his quick wit and contagious smile, and will be remembered with immense amounts of love by all of those who knew him.
In lieu of services, there will be a Celebration of Life at Fury's Publick House, 1 Washington St. Dover, NH Saturday 9/8 from 5-9 PM. If you are unable to attend, but would still like to make a donation in Corey's honor, you can do so to the below organization, who helps provide better quality defense attorneys to low-income families:
