Walter David Welch Jr. "Wally", 40, passed away suddenly September 29, 2018 in Epping, NH.
He was born December 10, 1977 in Exeter, NH son of Walter David Welch Sr. and Darlene (Purington) Purington.
Wally grew up in and lived the majority of his life in Raymond, NH. He was currently residing in Fremont and was also formerly of Newmarket. Wally was a devoted employee for the past 17 years at Severino Trucking Co. in Candia. Family fondly reflected that Wally thought of Tom and the Severino family as his family.
Wally was kind hearted, some describing him also as having a heart of gold, and was loved by everyone who met him. He was very giving, the "life of the party", with the quirkiest sayings and best comebacks. He was truly gifted with his quick wit.
His passions included mountain biking which he did on most weekends. His favorite trails which he would take his nephews too as well were at the University of NH. He also loved guns and shooting. This was a family activity that was taught to him by his dad, shared by his siblings and extended family at the Raymond Pits many years ago. The family described it as relationship building for him within the family and life. Wally was the biggest Boston Red Sox fan and took many of his family to games at Fenway. He loved nature and animals. Wally enjoyed listening to music especially his favorite artists Eminem and Wu-Tang. But most importantly he was an amazing uncle. Also Darlene wanted mentioned that Wally would often let her know how much he loved her-which meant the world to her.
He was predeceased by a brother, Joshua Purington, his paternal grandparents, John B. and Esther Welch, and maternal grandparent, Rose Purington.
Wally is survived by his mother, Darlene Purington, father, Walter Welch Sr., step-mother, Lindell Welch, brother, Brian Purington, sister, Melissa Welch, sister, Cazzandra Woodman, sister, Jessica Masse, sister, Isabelle Quimby, sister, Tonya Hayes, sister, Aleighsha Welch, sister, Crystal Lynch, brother, Michael Sheehan, grandparents, Dorothy Philbrick, Weymouth Purington, Frederick and Dolores Lentz, and numerous, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond, NH.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to either the American Cancer Society for friends and family that are currently fighting cancer or the American Heart Association which Wally himself had heart disease newly discovered by the family.
