Thomas J. Gavin, 64, of Kingston, formerly of Exeter and Stratham, NH, passed away on October 10, 2018, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood, NH. Tom was born in Boston, MA, the son of the late Stanley and Louise (Mackle) Gavin. He grew up in North Quincy, MA and was a 1972 graduate of North Quincy High School. Following high school, he attended the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy where he earned a master's degree in Pharmaceutical Administration.
Tom met his future wife, Juliette Killam in January of 1977 and they were married on November 22, 1980. He worked as a hospital pharmacist in MA before becoming the Director of Pharmacy at the Exeter Hospital where he had worked for 17 years. From there he went on to work at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital before his retirement in 2013.
Tom was a family man first and foremost. His second love was the outdoors, gardening, fishing, boating and spending time at the ocean. He was also a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Exeter.
Tom was predeceased by his brother, William Gavin and is survived by his loving wife, Juliette Gavin; his daughter, Kristin Gavin and her fiance William Bremner; his sisters, Kathleen McIsaac and Rosemary Dickerson; his nieces, Allysah Moore and Erin McIsaac; his nephew, John Gavin and his great-nephews, Sean and Casey.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 13th, 2018, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM, at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, NH. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 14th, at 2:00 PM, at Christ Episcopal Church, 43 Pine St. in Exeter.
