Obituary

Josephine "Josie" Louise Adams Gross, 68 died unexpectedly November 1, 2018 at her home in Kittery, ME. She was born January 24, 1950 in Exeter, NH, daughter of the late Leon Frank Adams Sr. and Nova Avis (Collins) Adams.

Josie grew up in Kingston, NH and attended Sanborn Regional High School. She worked at Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood, NH as a CNA for 29 years until 2002. Josie enjoyed singing, music, and camping. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. Josie had resided most of her life in Kittery Maine.

Josie was a 9 year breast cancer survivor.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 21 years, Walter A. Gross, Sister, Cheryll Ann Adams Bergeron, and brother, Leon F. Adams Jr.

Josie is survived by a Daughter and her companion, Sharon Eddy & Robert "Bob" Mari of Kittery, ME, Son, Harold "Bobby" Eddy of Bartlett NH, Step-son and his wife, Walter Gross Jr. and Julie Greenberg of NY, grandchildren, Ryan Eddy & companion Danielle Boehmer of Bowling Green, KY, Ashlyn Claussen & Briana Mari of Kittery, ME, Alex & Aaron of NY. Great Grandchild, Vannah Rae, Sisters, Crystal LaBranche of Nottingham, NH, Roxann and her husband Dennis George of Epping, NH, Melodie and her husband John Bedward of Haverhill, MA, Lynn Adams of Raymond, NH, and many loved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 9 Pleasant St., Epping, NH. to follow with a Mercy Meal at the Mason Hall next door.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, PO Box 678572, Dallas, TX 75267-8572.
