James "Jim" J. Gray Jr., 78, died October 27, 2018 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH.
He was born March 3, 1940 in Elizabeth, NJ, son of the late James J. Gray Sr. and Dorothea (Hemingway) Gray.
Jim grew up in Elizabeth, NJ where he graduated from Jefferson High School. He furthered his education at Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ where he received a bachelor degree. On October 14, 1978, he married Nancy L. Sullivan and they resided in Winchester, MA for many years before moving to Chester, NH 25 years ago. Professionally, Jim's longtime career was as a buyer in the computer electronics field. He was formerly employed by Cordon Electronics, Net to Net Technologies, and Saranoah Co.
Mr. Gray was an active communicant of St. Joseph Church in Epping and was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
His hobbies included watching football and going on the computer.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy L. Gray of Chester, NH, daughter, Deborah Gray of Arlington, MA, daughter, Dorothea Pappastathis of Wilmington, MA, son, James J. Gray III of Chester, NH, step-daughter, Christine Souza Stickney of Dracut, MA, 6 grandchildren, Arthur Pappastathis, Alexa Pappastathis, Samantha Pappastathis, Michael Cardoza, Gerald Cardoza, Laura Cardoza, 4 great-grandchildren, Gabriella Provost, Jeidyn Cardoza, Lillianna Cardoza, Kamden Cardoza, one sister, Maryjean Michelle Andrews of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and two nieces.
