Annie Jane Wiggin, 78, of Pleasant Street, died on December 15, 2005, at her home in Epping. She was born in Concord, NH on June 7, 1927, daughter of the late Jenny (Germaine) Tenney. She grew up in Bow, NH and met her husband Austin C. Wiggin, Jr. at the Rumford Press in Concord where she was employed. After they wed, she and her husband settled to Fremont, NH where they raised their family. After her children finished school, she worked at the Rockingham County Nursing Home, in Brentwood as a dietary aide for 13 years. Mrs. Wiggin attended the Epping Community Church, and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, playing bingo, and word searches. She also loved watching birds, especially cardinals and hummingbirds.
She was predeceased by her husband Austin and a brother Frederick G. Tenney, and is survived by 4 daughters Helen Bickford of Glen Cliff, NH, Dorothy Semprini of Epping, NH, Betty Porter of Epping, NH, Rachel Gould of West Epping, NH, 3 sons Austin C. Wiggin, III of Rowley, MA, Robert “Butch” Wiggin of California, Rick Tenney of Arizona; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Makayla, Kelsey and Alana; and a brother-in-law John Wiggin of Indiana.
Calling hours will be Monday, December 19th form 6 - 9 PM, at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 9 Pleasant Street, Epping, NH. A funeral service will be on Tuesday, December 20th at 2 PM, at the Epping Community Church, on the corner of Main St. and Pleasant St. Epping, NH. Rev. Wayne VanGundy will officiate the service. Committal in Village Cemetery, Fremont, NH will take place in the spring.
